| TAD Media » Downloads | ||||
In this video, up-and-coming artist Jane Radstrom welcomes the viewer to watch her as she uses pastel, gamsol, and oil to create an image of a seated female.As Jane says in the video, she wants to be a creative participant for the whole process. Rather than copying exactly what s in front of her, a photograph in this case, she uses her subject as a jumping off point. The final image is only reached through a process of problem solving, editing, and modification. Throughout the video, Jane employs artistic principles such as calligraphy, contrast, edges, and composition to help guide her and achieve a good outcome.Not only is Jane a talented artist, but she also has the gift of being able to understand and articulate all the choices she makes while working. That is the real heart of this video, regardless of which medium you work in.60 min. MP4 Format 1280x720
