The Art Department currently operates two Studios for its students in Kansas City, MO, and Richmond, VA.
Studio students take their classes online, but benefit from The Art Department’s most immersive option. Students attending TAD Studios have the ability to collaborate and receive guidance on projects, as well as any other personal or contracted work. Studios provide 24-hour access to a fully-equipped space creating an environment in which students learn and interact with their peers. They also offer two to three figure drawing sessions weekly, giving students the opportunity to work with live models. TAD Studios are staffed by Studio Leads as well as instructors living in the area.
The Art Department’s Studios are open to students participating in all four Industry Programs. While no Studio is program specific, each has its own character based on the artistic discipline of staff and participating students.
Prospective students interested in attending a Studio, indicate their choice in TAD’s application. Studio spaces are subject to availability. The fee for TAD Studios is $300 per month and covers space in the studio. The Art Department does not offer living accommodations, but contact information for local realtors is available upon request. Cost of living varies by city.
