Explore: An Introduction to TAD
Available now on demand!
The Art Department is offering an exclusive sneak-peek inside our virtual classrooms through our EXPLORE Program, an introduction to TAD. When EXPLORE aired live attendees were able to interact with the esteemed faculty and industry professionals (Jon Foster, George Pratt, Sterling Hundley, and more), along with student representatives, for a chance to sample TAD's interactive, online approach to art education. With 2+ hours a day of demos, discussions, and special guest appearances, EXPLORE is available to those who want to watch the workshop streaming on-demand at any time!
EXPLORE is an opportunity for artists of any level and discipline to sample the true TAD experience - a week filled with live demos, visiting professionals, and advice from some of our star students. Participants will be able to attend each class on demand in our interactive streaming classrooms. Registration is 100% FREE and is open to participants both domestic and international. All course descriptions are listed below.
TAD COURSE SURVEYS
Originally Recorded November 7 - 9, 2011
The first three days of EXPLORE include roughly three 40-minute online courses per recording. Each session is a condensed version of TAD's current curriculum, and includes live demonstrations from instructors, as well as examples of class interaction, student's work, topics of discussion, and paint-overs. The following classes will be offered during these three days:
VISITING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
Originally Recorded NOVEMBER 10, 2011
The fourth recording features 2 hours of presentations from some of TAD's previous visiting artists and industry pros. Interaction between our students and current leaders in the arts and entertainment industries is a crucial part of the learning experience at TAD, and we've been fortunate enough to bring that opportunity to the EXPLORE attendees.
Honors Studio & Career MEntorship
Originally Recorded NOVEMBER 11, 2011
The final day of EXPLORE includes a peek into two of TAD's most prestigious programs: our Honors Studio and Career Mentorship Program. EXPLORE attendees will have the opportunity to interact with some of TAD's best and brightest as they present their latest projects - print collateral for the Kansas City Lyric Opera - to instructor Sterling Hundley and guest art director Kevin Brimmer.
